Personal training at Fuel Rx Fitness, Inc. is ideal if you want more individual attention, focus just on specific needs and want to individualize the workouts most enjoyable during your 4 week program. Personal training is reserved only for one on one or two on one. If you are someone who would like to have a workout buddy but still have that one on one attention then the two on one package would be ideal. Personal training is held at the facility, at the client's home gym and at outdoor locations around the San Fernando Valley.

My background in therapeutic massage is not part of the program but is recommended to include. Therapeutic massage improves flexibility, relieves tight/muscle soreness, boost energy, strengthens the immune system, decreases stress & helps with rest/recovery during an exercise program.

Rest and recovery is just as important as the workout itself. It allows the muscle to build up, prevents injury and keeps the motivation high.

The program focuses on challenge awareness & working with clients to overcome any. Elements to this success is obviously through communication, a personalized program, accurate assessments, consistency and accountability. As a trainer, I emphasize the extreme importance of having fun! This is key to everyone's success!

I diversify the workouts to keep it exciting. These exercises are modified based on each client's current fitness level & health status. I use interval training within a circuit format targeting each client's specific goals. Within that format I will add compound & supersets as the client progresses. Other fitness formats such as Obstacle courses, relays and races against the client's previous time, pace, reps, sets and load. It is encourage to always try to beat previous time, pace etc. In addition, creating competition with others heightens the fun and motivation level.

The following are some sport training I can incorporate into the client's program:

Train to power walk, walk/jog combo or run a 5k, 10k, ½ or Full Marathon. One epic workout whether it is to train for a walk or run X distance or to just improve overall fitness conditioning is the X-Terrain Challenges.

X-Terrain Challenges. Whether it's a power walk, walk/jog or run the client follows me through the streets of LA and Off-Road on a fun adventure. Along the way we use the terrain as a gym engaging in a variety of upper and lower body exercises i.e. Walking lunges, split squats, push-ups & much more (All exercises can be modify to your intensity level) This workout is not only exciting but will increase your endurance, strength and power!

              MY TRAINING STYLE

I do not believe that exercise is a one-size-fits-all. So I    would say my training style is COUTURE. I design custom tailored workouts geared toward YOU and only you. That is, your fitness level, your age / weight, if there are any previous injuries in the body, etc. Since I train all ages from teenagers to seniors; custom made workouts are a necessary component to the big picture for you. I write down everything we do as we go along so we can chart our progress more effectively. It also helps in the rotation of exercises. I'm a big believer in not getting bored and not only do we get bored doing the same things but so does the body. So I'm constantly doing research to find new moves to work you out as well as inventing some myself! To that end, we'll use all sorts of tools in our workouts:

BOSU BALLS, BODY BARS, STABILITY BALLS, MEDICINE BALLS, RESISTANCE TUBES, FREE WEIGHTS, TREADMILLS, VERSA-CLIMBERS, ELIPTICALS, ROWER and much more!

If losing weight is your No. 1 goal, then we incorporate fat blasting moves in an interval fashion while stimultaneously toning muscles. I will also ask you to keep a FOOD JOURNAL for accountability. We will look over it together and tweak whatever needs to be tweaked. If it isn't weight loss but maintaining or toning you seek, then we'll keep cardio in for heart/lung health but focus on sculpting the muscles. NOTE: If there are any previous injuries or chronic knee or back issues (or anywhere else for that matter), I choose moves that work around those obstacles so your sessions will be completely safe and will not aggravate any pre-existing conditions. POOL workouts are a great way to get around impact issues and I offer that as well. I'm also a swim instructor so swim lessons are a part of my service.

If de-stressing is a concern for you, allow me to incorporate some YOGA and STRETCHING in the sessions. Not only will you become more flexible (in mind as well as in body), you will notice a shift in mental flexibility/acuity. People ask this question a lot: What IS a lifecoach? What exactly do they do? In short, I say this: I provide solutions to problems. I don't just sit back and have the person vent the whole time without any feedback nor do I continually ask "how do you feel about that?" When I am told the problem, I provide the individual/couple/family with a real working solutions while also providing insight into the individual's part in the situation. I'm an expert on PEOPLE and RELATIONSHIPS--who they are and why they do what they do. I can often tell someone that when they have no idea themselves! I have helped people figure out what they should do next in their CAREERS and with CREATIVE endeavors. I have been a consultant for filmmakers, attorneys, writers, athletes and even party planners.

I know anyone can obtain a degree in psychology. I've heard people who have been in the field for years say things you should never say and/or give advice that was just downright terrible!! I feel like someone like me, who was born with certain knowledge and insights are a much better help than answers that came solely out of a book or course.
