Program Strategy

  1. Experience a Workout (1st Session Free!)

    Purpose – to see if you enjoyed a good workout.

  2. Consultation (1st Session Free!)

     

    Purpose – to get acquinted with the trainer and make sure there is a good repoire. Also, to get clarity on the program strategy and to discuss if the program is well suited for you.

  3. Fitness & Nutritional Assessment

    Purpose - Your current fitness level and nutritional intake becomes the baseline before you begin the program. The baseline is important in designing a results-driven program based on your specific needs. The initial baseline results are compared to the re-assessment to gauge your progress. Ideally, a re-assessment should be done every 4 weeks. The re-assessment will target any plateau and the trainer can then re-adjust the program.

  5. The Fitness Program

     

    Purpose – Fuel Rx offers four week private or boot camp training packages. These packages include a therapeutic service as well. The client can attend unlimited amount of workouts during the 4 week period. Each workout is an hour long. The emphasis is on making the workouts fun. We design full body workouts in various combinations. There are interval, circuit, obstacle courses, relays and races. Fuel Rx builds a highly motivating atmosphere where the client is constantly challenged. We encourage clients into making the exercises into a self-competitive sport. They will test themselves against their last type of workout in time, reps, sets, frequency, tempo, intensity and durations. It not only fuels the clients’ motivation but allows them to see progress or plateaus even before the re-assessments are done.

    Private Training is ideal for those clients that want more individual attention. Both private and boot camp clients each receive an individual program design specific to his or her needs.

    Other fun workouts for general fitness or sport performance cross training include Vortex training which is a beach workout while balancing the mind, body and soul. Clients feel rejuvenated working out at the beach. Paddle boarding is another fun sport that builds the core.

    Fuel Rx offers training for those that want to walk, walk/jog or run a 5k, 10k, ½ or Full Marathon. Training in biking 25 or 50 miles will also be offered.

    Building camaraderie with other Fuel Rx clients adds a fun social atmosphere to participating in workouts and sports. In such events as training for a marathon, raising money for your entry and a good cause makes it a very fulfilling endeavor.

    We will be incorporating, in the near future, a training program for beginners interested in completing a sprint or Olympic distance triathlon.

    Anyone love to play tennis? Well then look no further. Tennis lessons and a tennis foot work program will be available by a gifted world class tennis coach, Steve Bauer. For more information please inquire.

    If you need sport enhancement in a sport, not mentioned above, then a training program will be design specific to your goals. Private training would be ideal for this type of client.

  6. The Nutritonal Program

     

    Purpose – After the nutritional assessment has been completed and it has been discussed on how much K Calorie intake you should be eating on a daily basis you will get a visual of volume and the type of foods you should be eating and what you have been eating. This is extremely helpful. Most People do not realize they are over eating. Even if it is healthy food, too much volume is going to put weight on, so we created a demonstration in private or in a group setting to see the actual amount of K Calories that are in X amount of food. This way, when you are out eating at a restaurant or cooking at home, you will know approximately how many K Calories and grams are in X amount of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. If you are diabetic or have a medical condition that requires a specific way to eat then a dietician is recommended.

  7. Proper Rest & Massage Therapy

     

    Purpose - To facilitate healing in your body wherever it is needed most. When you are experiencing sore or tight muscles for example; massage gets rid of lactic acid build up. Proper rest between workouts is vital because without rest your muscles will not recover; therefore, making it more difficult to increase muscle fibers. Massage therapy is an excellent added supplement to proper rest. It not only helps improve your sleep but it also will quickly recover you from over-training, prevent/injuries, balances the mind, body and soul. Following this protocol will have an amazing exponential effect on your fitness/health progress.

    We offer different types of massage such as Swedish, deep tissue, sport massage, MFT, Shiatsu, Thai, Passive Stretching and energy therapies.

    An assessment on your medical history and fitness program will determine the best therapy or combination of therapies for you.

  8. Communication

     

    Purpose – Fuel Rx emphasizes the importance of good repo ire between the trainer and the client. The client giving feedback along their journey helps the trainer enrich their experience and success. Key time is when you are feeling boredom or over-training. It is also important to let your trainer know any likes, dislikes and aches/pains as they become apparent.

    A significant emphasis is on the trainer’s responsibility to keep the communication on going by asking questions as simple as: how are you feeling today? Are you enjoying the workouts? Is there anything new you would like to add to the program that has not been implemented yet?

  9. Accountability

     

    Purpose – The trainer will be there to motivate as necessary to keep you on track. Before the client begins the program you need to decide how much time you can commit to your program per week. Things important to know are the frequency of work outs per week & duration of each of those workouts. It will also be highly suggested for you to work out on your own or with a workout buddy. This will only heighten your motivation and keep you consistent.
